Tucked into the southwestern side of Arcadia Lake, the Arcadia Conservation Education Area offers a hiking trail, walk-in fishing opportunities and more. With a focus on providing outdoor educational opportunities for the public, this area is a unique management area for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
Open by walk-in access from January 16 through September 30, you can stroll along a .75 mile self-guided walking trail and discover educational information about Oklahoma's wildlife and habitat. The Outdoor Education Building, pond, wetland or trail can be reserved for a variety of outdoor classroom activities, including fly fishing instruction. All hunting seasons are closed at the Arcadia Conservation Education Area, with the exception of controlled archery deer hunts offered by the City of Edmond.
