Heritage Park is a community-built park and a huge source of pride for Sapulpa citizens. The park features include a covered picnic shelter area, indoor restrooms and a playground for children of all ages. American Heritage Bank and Sapulpa Main Street spearheaded the development of this community-built park in 2004 with the assistance of architects Leathers and Associates of Ithaca, NY and design assistance from Sapulpa-area elementary school children. The entire town was involved with over 14,000 volunteer hours logged over the nine-day building project. The park, referred to early on as "The Big Build," was built as a "thank you" to the citizens of Sapulpa from American Heritage Bank for their 100th birthday.
